Look What You Made Me Do presents love and what it might lead to. A film about anger that is hidden so deep inside that it can suddenly erupt like a volcano.
Look What You Made Me Do is a film about love: love that can lead to murder. A woman fights for her life in a violent marriage. Advising her are three women who have all killed their husbands in order to survive. Artemisia Gentileschi’s famous painting, in which she slits her rapist’s throat, is the daring embodiment of this film: embrace the violence within yourself, and you will be free. It’s a film that pulls no punches, about women as perpetrators, as opposed to women as eternal victims.
