The European Film Academy (EFA) has announced that Mr. K has been added to the list of feature films that are part of European Film Awards’ Feature Film Selection 2024. They have been selected by the EFA Board – consulted by a diverse range of European invited experts. The nominations of the European Film Awards will be revealed on 5 November.
This year the awards ceremony, presented jointly by the European Film Academy and European Film Academy Productions, takes place on 7 December in Lucerne/Switzerland. In a total of 22 categories the European Film Awards annually honour the greatest achievements in European cinema.
Starring Crispin Glover (Alice in Wonderland, Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle, Back to the Future), Mr. K is a surrealist drama about a traveling magician, who finds himself in a Kafkaesque nightmare when he can’t find the exit of the hotel he slept in. His attempts to get out only pull him deeper inside, entangling him further with the hotel and its curious inhabitants.
Mr. K world premiered in TIFF’s Platform competition. Tallulah’s debut feature Confetti Harvest* (2015), premiered at Berlinale’s Generation and screened at many children’s film festivals, including Kristiansand (Norway) and Zlin (Czech Republic).
Mr. K is produced by Lemming Film, A Private View and The Film Kitchen, in coproduction with Take 1 and the AVRO/TROS.
