Vera (23) loses her autonomy after an accident and must reinvent her life in a wheelchair. After her recovery, she moves back in with her parents, where everybody coddles her, much to her exasperation. When she meets Xander (22), who has been in a wheelchair since birth, she begins to see things differently. They struggle at first to connect, but estranged from most of her friends from before the accident, Vera begins to feels at home with Xander. With his support, she gradually begins to embrace her new life.
